About this role
Dedrone (by Axon) seeks a Sales Engineer II to drive pre-sales technical strategy for their AI-powered drone detection and airspace security platform. You'll master their cloud and on-premise solutions, conduct technical presentations with C-suite and IT stakeholders, and shepherd opportunities from RFP through proof-of-concept to close.
What you'll do
- Lead technical presentations and RFP responses to C-level executives, IT departments, and channel partners
- Manage proof-of-concept and pilot programs: coordinate logistics, assess requirements, tailor tests, and provide customer orientation
- Develop Statements of Work for Professional Services and competitive positioning against alternative solutions
- Provide first-level technical support throughout pre-sales cycle and represent company at industry conferences and events
- Capture feature requests and feedback for Product Management, Engineering, and cross-functional teams
- Develop technical documentation and improve materials to support customer and channel adoption

- Networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, PoE, Ethernet, IEEE 802.11)
- Linux systems administration
- SaaS solution sales and pre-sales consulting
- Physical security and IP-camera technology
- Drone technology knowledge or flight experience
- Security concepts (IPsec, InfoSec, penetration testing)
- Written and oral communication for technical and business audiences
