Software Engineer (Voice)

About this role

Bandwidth is seeking a Software Engineer to build and operate voice connectivity systems that process billions of calls monthly. You'll own full-stack development of distributed microservices powering reliable voice infrastructure, leveraging AI throughout the development lifecycle while collaborating across teams in an agile environment.

What you'll do

• Design and develop web services and microservices architectures handling live customer voice traffic
• Own code end-to-end from design through production operations and monitoring
• Automate voice provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management across downstream systems
• Collaborate with product teams to ship features that scale reliably across the network
• Review and write AI-generated code with security and compliance rigor
• Drive innovation in voice communications infrastructure

• Java, C#, or Go programming
• Distributed microservices and service-oriented architectures
• IP networking, HTTP, and REST protocols
• Test automation frameworks and patterns
• Relational and non-relational databases
• AI and AI agent development
• AWS or cloud platform engineering
• Docker and Kubernetes containerization
