About this role

Base seeks a Deployment Engineer to establish operational systems and procedures for scaling distributed battery deployments across utility partnerships. You'll be the technical liaison between utility partners and Base, managing the journey from signed agreements to Permission to Operate while building repeatable processes for new markets.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement operational procedures and internal systems to deploy thousands of batteries at scale
  • Serve as primary technical contact for utility partners on interconnection, inspections, integration requirements, and timelines
  • Manage daily pipeline health across partner queues, including deal tracking, CRM maintenance, and process improvements
  • Conduct deployment feasibility studies to identify operational challenges in new utility regions
  • Coordinate field team and partner handoffs to maintain installation schedules and service quality
  • Build data collection systems and pipeline automations to drive continuous improvement and scale
