About this role

Base seeks a Supplier Industrialization Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes across their global supply base, scaling battery production from prototype to mass production. You'll partner with suppliers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and reliable scaling while supporting product design and qualification initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Ramp supplier production lines from prototyping through full-scale manufacturing, validating equipment, staffing, and process readiness
  • Assess supplier cultural and technical fit, audit manufacturing facilities, and qualify suppliers against quality standards
  • Collaborate with suppliers to design and optimize manufacturing processes for capacity, quality, and cost targets
  • Map supplier manufacturing workflows to identify capacity bottlenecks and anticipate scalability constraints
  • Support design for manufacturability reviews representing supplier-side constraints and capabilities
  • Evaluate supplier manufacturing cost structures and capital investment strategies to guide Base's supplier partnerships
