Bedrock Robotics
Internship 2027 Behavior Machine Learning Engineer, World Models
About this role
Bedrock is seeking a machine learning intern to develop world models that enable autonomous construction equipment to predict and reason about future states on job sites. You'll train models on real fleet data, run architecture explorations, and collaborate with behavior and controls teams to deploy your work onto live excavators.
What you'll do
- Train and evaluate world models using real autonomous machine fleet data
- Conduct architecture explorations and ablation studies with empirical validation
- Build evaluation frameworks and metrics to measure model improvements
- Integrate model outputs with planning and control systems for field deployment
- Document findings and provide research foundation for team expansion
What they're looking for
- Python programming
- PyTorch model training
- World models or video prediction
- Real-world data handling and preprocessing
- Experimental design and statistical rigor
- Sequence modeling
- Reinforcement or imitation learning
- Robotics or autonomous systems experience
