About this role

Bedrock is hiring an Operations Test Engineer to develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for autonomous construction machinery systems. You'll design test architectures, lead validation efforts across hardware and software subsystems, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure robotic systems meet operational readiness standards before real-world deployment.

What you'll do

  • Design end-to-end test plans and strategies in collaboration with hardware and software development teams, ensuring traceability to product requirements
  • Develop test fixtures, jigs, and automated test scripts for both hardware and software validation
  • Execute functional, performance, endurance, environmental, and operational readiness testing on robotic systems and embedded controls
  • Identify, document, and track defects; analyze test data using statistical methods to provide actionable insights
  • Lead integration testing across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and control software subsystems
  • Generate detailed test reports with failure analysis and recommendations for deployment readiness

What they're looking for

  • Test plan development and requirements traceability
  • Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and system-level testing
  • Python or MATLAB scripting for test automation
  • Data acquisition systems and sensor validation
  • Defect management and root cause analysis
  • Industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus, CAN)
  • Environmental testing standards (shock, vibration, thermal)
  • Cross-functional technical collaboration
