About this role
BJAK, Southeast Asia's leading fintech platform, is seeking a backend engineer to build scalable APIs and core systems powering their AI neobank app. You'll own infrastructure for payments, accounts, KYC, transfers, and financial products serving millions across multiple markets.
What you'll do
- Design and build backend services and APIs for onboarding, accounts, payments, cards, transfers, rewards, and KYC flows
- Ensure system reliability, security, latency, observability, and data integrity across production transactions
- Integrate with payment providers, financial partners, AI services, and third-party platforms
- Collaborate with product, frontend, mobile, and AI teams to launch features quickly and safely
- Own incident response and operational reliability for customer-facing systems
- Simplify existing workflows and automate manual processes
