About this role

Bland AI seeks a Brand Design Engineer to own the visual identity and marketing website for an ambitious AI startup. This hybrid role combines design leadership with hands-on frontend coding, requiring someone who can establish brand systems, implement designs directly in code, and maintain exceptional quality across all marketing touchpoints.

What you'll do

  • Own visual design direction across marketing and develop brand systems, guidelines, and visual language
  • Take end-to-end ownership of the marketing website, keeping it current and continuously improving design, UX, and performance
  • Work directly in the custom codebase using AI tools like Claude Code to implement designs and ship changes
  • Build and evolve Bland's visual identity across typography, color, layout, motion, and interaction systems
  • Design high-impact marketing experiences including landing pages, campaigns, launches, and interactive content
  • Establish QA processes and audit the site for inconsistencies, broken experiences, and quality improvements
