About this role

Captivation Software seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to manage multiple mission-critical machine rooms, labs, and communications facilities. You'll oversee infrastructure maintenance, coordinate hardware installations and upgrades, and ensure compliance with agency standards for power, cooling, and security access.

What you'll do

  • Maintain machine rooms to agency standards and manage physical access control lists
  • Monitor and enforce power, space, and cooling requirements across facilities
  • Coordinate with facilities teams on power and cooling upgrades to support new hardware
  • Install, configure, and decommission server racks, network devices, and communications equipment
  • Process JIRA tickets for hardware replacements and support vendor warranty work
  • Monitor systems daily, review alerts, and troubleshoot issues on the machine room floor
