Security Engineer
About this role
Chainguard seeks an earlier-career Security Engineer to support cloud, identity, and AI infrastructure across the organization. You'll work alongside senior engineers to implement access controls, harden systems, and secure emerging AI workflows while growing your security expertise in a fast-paced startup environment.
What you'll do
- Operate and maintain cloud, IAM, and AI technology platforms
- Implement and sustain access controls, identity policies, and authentication/authorization systems
- Assist in hardening and monitoring cloud infrastructure alongside senior architects
- Secure AI/ML pipelines and agentic workflows as they scale
- Troubleshoot, automate, and maintain systems using IT or software engineering skills
- Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and playbooks for internal knowledge-sharing
