Analytics Engineer
About this role
Chalk is seeking a Data Engineer to build the internal data foundation supporting GTM, finance, product, and business operations. You'll design production data models, define key metrics across revenue and product domains, and create self-service reporting that unifies CRM, billing, usage, and financial systems.
What you'll do
- Build production data models integrating CRM, contracts, billing, finance, and product telemetry
- Define and maintain GTM metrics including pipeline, conversion, ARR, forecast accuracy, and retention
- Create finance and billing reports reconciling contracts, invoices, payments, credits, and the general ledger
- Define product metrics for activation, adoption, engagement, and time-to-value
- Establish data quality standards, testing, documentation, and lineage for business-critical datasets
- Automate recurring reporting and replace spreadsheet workflows with reliable self-service data products
