About this role

Chicago Trading Company seeks a Trade Support Engineer to maintain uptime and resolve critical issues in live trading systems. You'll troubleshoot production incidents, automate operational workflows, and collaborate with traders and developers in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

What you'll do

  • Troubleshoot and resolve live trading system outages while communicating status to stakeholders
  • Monitor production environments for anomalies and escalate issues appropriately
  • Automate manual processes using Linux, Python, and Bash scripting
  • Partner with traders and developers to diagnose system and software problems
  • Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and incident retrospectives
  • Lead incident response and drive continuous improvement of support operations
