Developer Relations Engineer
About this role
Join a seed-stage MLOps startup as the founding Developer Relations Engineer in San Francisco, owning all community building, technical evangelism, and go-to-market activities from the ground up. You'll launch meetups, represent the company at conferences, demo a Python framework to engineering audiences, and convert community engagement into measurable pipeline.
What you'll do
- Launch and grow a recurring ML-infrastructure meetup in San Francisco from zero into a flagship community event
- Represent the company at AI/ML conferences, hackathons, and Bay Area tech gatherings
- Deliver live technical demos of the Python-based open-source framework and answer engineering questions in real time
- Create and publish talks, blog posts, demo videos, and social content informed by community feedback
- Wire community signals, GitHub activity, and CRM data into lead-scoring and automated follow-up workflows
- Gather and report structured intelligence on practitioner needs and product evaluation trends to inform product and GTM strategy
What they're looking for
- Python proficiency with ability to read and troubleshoot production code
- Developer Relations and community building experience
- Event planning and execution with demonstrated attendance growth
- CRM and marketing automation (Salesforce, Clay, Mixpanel, or similar)
- GitHub API integration and open-source community dynamics
- Technical content creation (talks, blog posts, demo videos)
- Sales and business pipeline conversion skills
- Product-led and usage-based GTM experience
