Forward Deployed Engineer
About this role
Join an early-stage AI/ML startup as a Forward Deployed Engineer, owning the full lifecycle of customer deployments while bridging product development and customer success. You'll embed with customers, write detection logic and evals for their AI agents, and drive continuous product improvements based on real-world learnings.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end customer deployments including integration, tracing, debugging, and landing PRs in customer codebases
- Embed in customer Slack channels as the resident expert on their agent architecture and failure modes
- Write and customize detection logic, evals, and observability code tailored to each customer's specific problems
- Open and defend PRs against unfamiliar codebases through code review with customer engineering teams
- Represent the company in critical conversations around security reviews, deployment architecture, and trust-building
- Identify recurring patterns across the customer base and feed learnings back into core product development
