Forward Deployed Engineer
About this role
Join an early-stage healthtech startup as a Forward Deployed Engineer to build and maintain integrations between an AI-powered prior authorization platform and healthcare provider and insurance systems. You'll work closely with founders and clients to translate complex healthcare workflows into technical solutions, shipping integrations quickly while developing deep domain expertise in the US provider and payer landscape.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain integrations with provider practices and insurance systems using APIs, web scrapers, and RPA tooling
- Participate in client discovery sessions to map workflows and translate them into technical requirements
- Ship custom integrations rapidly and iterate based on feedback from live practice clients
- Contribute to core product development when integration work is not the primary bottleneck
- Develop working knowledge of US prior authorization, benefits verification, and appeals processes
- Attend in-person team and client meetings with occasional travel as needed
