About this role

Join a founding team building an AI-powered discovery platform that leverages one of the largest structured place and event databases to help users find where to go and what to do socially. As a Founding Engineer, you'll own full-stack technical decisions across search, ranking, real-time infrastructure, and AI systems at massive scale.

What you'll do

  • Design and ship product features end-to-end from concept to production across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and AI
  • Optimize search and ranking systems for hundreds of millions of places and millions of events at sub-100ms latency
  • Build real-time infrastructure for chat, presence, and location features with instantaneous user experience
  • Develop recommendation and personalization systems using embeddings, structured data, and social signals
  • Collaborate directly with founders on product direction, architecture decisions, and system design
  • Process and structure large volumes of unstructured web data to power discovery experiences
