About this role

Join an early-stage AI SaaS startup as the second engineering hire, building intelligent agents that automate compliance and food safety document workflows for industrial manufacturers. You'll own full-stack features—from backend data ingestion pipelines to production LLM agents to polished UIs—working directly with founders on core product and technical decisions.

What you'll do

  • Design and build backend systems to ingest, parse, and process unstructured documents from customer ERPs and email systems, including large-scale PDF pipelines
  • Develop LLM-powered autonomous agents that complete complex, multi-page compliance and food safety documents end to end
  • Own features across the full stack without dependencies, from backend services through database schema to frontend UI
  • Ship features rapidly to real users and iterate based on direct feedback in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Contribute to foundational technical architecture and product strategy decisions alongside the founding team
  • Integrate and manage multiple LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.) in production systems
