GTM Engineer
About this role
Join an early-stage, Y Combinator-backed startup as a GTM Engineer to own the entire growth data infrastructure—from funnel instrumentation and lookalike modeling to outbound automation and PLG experimentation. You'll build the systems that drive company-wide decision-making while working hands-on with data pipelines, APIs, and AI-powered tools in a fast-moving environment.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end growth data layer: instrument the funnel, enrich signups, and build authoritative dashboards
- Execute lookalike modeling and automated outbound campaigns to scale successful customer acquisition
- Design and run experiments across PLG channels (content, integrations, paid, backlinks) to optimize signups
- Integrate the marketing and sales stack via APIs, webhooks, and automation tools (PostHog, CRM, enrichment platforms)
- Evaluate, select, and manage the GTM tools stack—decide what stays and what gets cut
- Build and ship AI-powered internal tools from prototype through adoption, owning long-term usage
What they're looking for
- Python, TypeScript, and/or SQL for scripting and data manipulation
- API integration and webhook orchestration
- Product analytics and funnel instrumentation
- Lookalike modeling and predictive analytics
- Outbound campaign automation and LinkedIn strategy
- PLG experimentation and A/B testing
- Data pipeline architecture and ETL design
- AI coding tools and rapid prototyping
Benefits
- Salary: $120,000–$200,000 USD annually based on experience
- Early-stage equity in a high-conviction startup
- On-site team environment in San Francisco
- Opportunity to invent a market in the AI infrastructure space
- Build-and-own autonomy with minimal process overhead
- Work with cutting-edge AI agent communication technology
