About this role

Full-stack product engineer at an early-stage fintech startup building consumer financial tools. You'll own features end-to-end across frontend and backend, ship frequently to production, and directly impact users' financial lives through cash advances, paycheck bridging, and credit-building products.

What you'll do

  • Build full-stack product features including domain models, business logic, and third-party API integrations
  • Drive data-informed, incremental product releases using SQL and analytics tools to measure impact
  • Design and debug event-driven backend systems with message queues to ensure reliable user experiences
  • Ship to production daily via CI/CD pipelines and respond to production incidents
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business leaders on high-impact feature prioritization
  • Own implementations end-to-end from design through deployment and monitoring

What they're looking for

  • Backend development (3+ years production experience)
  • RESTful API design and consumption with auth/authorization patterns
  • Event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
  • Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) with data modeling and query optimization
  • SQL and analytics tools for performance evaluation
  • CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated testing
  • Go/Golang and GCP (preferred)
  • System design and computer science fundamentals
