Security Engineer
About this role
Founding security hire at an early-stage AI/ML infrastructure company tasked with building a comprehensive security program from the ground up. You'll drive product security, cloud infrastructure protection, compliance, and incident response while safeguarding sensitive data for AI labs and enterprises.
What you'll do
- Lead detection and incident response end-to-end, from alert triage through investigation, postmortem, and engineering remediation
- Own the security roadmap across product, cloud, infrastructure, corporate security, incident response, and compliance domains
- Secure APIs, platforms, and data systems through threat modeling, code reviews, and authentication/authorization controls
- Build and operate monitoring and detection capabilities to identify and respond to emerging threats
- Own SOC 2 compliance including control design, security questionnaires, policy management, and audit coordination
- Translate data-license requirements into technical controls covering access, provenance, retention, deletion, and auditability
