Software Engineer - Developer Experience
About this role
Cogent is seeking a Developer Experience Engineer to own the software delivery infrastructure that enables both human engineers and AI agents to ship code securely and rapidly. You'll design and build CI/CD systems, self-hosted build runners, and infrastructure provisioning solutions that allow agents to autonomously build, deploy, test, and verify code in production environments.
What you'll do
- Design and implement agent development workflows that streamline the path from code idea to production deployment
- Build a self-hosted software builder as a secure alternative to GitHub Actions that meets compliance requirements
- Adopt and operate secure infrastructure provisioning solutions
- Establish CI/CD pipelines and build systems that support autonomous agent operations
- Ensure delivery systems maintain security and compliance standards in enterprise environments
- Collaborate with platform and AI teams to integrate agent capabilities into the deployment lifecycle
