About this role
Compa seeks a Product Security Engineer to establish and scale security practices across their AI-powered compensation intelligence platform. As the first dedicated product security hire, you'll define secure engineering standards, build developer tooling, and provide architectural guidance to ensure enterprise-grade security as the company grows.
What you'll do
- Conduct architecture reviews, threat modeling, and security design reviews for applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and AI systems
- Develop security standards, reference architectures, and secure-by-default design patterns for engineering teams
- Define and improve the Secure Software Development Lifecycle, embedding security into workflows and release processes
- Design and build reusable security libraries, tooling, and automation to scale secure practices across engineering
- Define secure patterns for AI-enabled products, agents, and retrieval systems; evaluate emerging AI security risks
- Lead security assessments for new products, features, integrations, and emerging technologies
