About this role

CompassX seeks a QA Test Engineer for a 6-month remote consulting engagement supporting a Quick Service Restaurant client. You'll own functional test cases and build automated validation frameworks for distributed applications using GraphQL, Playwright, and MQTT, operating on CST hours.

What you'll do

  • Design and execute functional test cases for cross-service applications in a distributed architecture
  • Build and maintain automated testing frameworks using Playwright and GraphQL
  • Identify and troubleshoot failures across microservices and real-time Pub/Sub systems
  • Develop quality assurance strategies aligned with client business needs
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing into deployment pipelines
  • Explore and implement AI-enhanced testing tools to improve deployment velocity
