About this role

Crusoe is seeking a Software Engineer I to join its Cloud Storage team, building and operating distributed storage infrastructure for AI workloads. You'll develop cloud storage features, write maintainable code, and grow your expertise in distributed systems through mentorship and collaboration with experienced engineers.

What you'll do

  • Implement well-scoped cloud storage features and contribute to larger projects defined by product and engineering leads
  • Write clean, tested, maintainable code with guidance from senior engineers and participate in code reviews
  • Contribute to design documentation and participate in testing and rollout across the software stack
  • Engage in architecture and design discussions to deepen understanding of distributed storage systems
  • Collaborate across teams through tech talks, open source exploration, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Actively learn distributed systems and storage engineering concepts through mentorship and pairing
