About this role

A U.S. government contractor seeks an experienced Platform Engineer to design and maintain cloud-native production environments, bridging application teams and infrastructure. The role requires strong Kubernetes expertise, independent problem-solving, and the ability to implement infrastructure-as-code solutions while maintaining security best practices.

What you'll do

  • Automate and build production runtime environments using Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies
  • Validate solutions and implementations against business requirements and platform standards
  • Independently identify and solve technical problems with minimal architectural guidance
  • Act as a liaison between application development and platform teams, advocating best practices
  • Provide accurate time and effort estimates for medium-sized tasks and contribute to project planning
  • Implement security automation and maintain DevSecOps practices across the platform
