About this role

DiDi Autonomous Driving seeks a Software Engineer to develop motion planning and decision-making systems for Level 4 autonomous vehicles. You'll design algorithms for trajectory optimization, behavioral planning, and safe navigation in complex driving environments, collaborating across perception, prediction, and control teams.

What you'll do

  • Design core motion planning logic for vehicle behaviors like lane changes, merges, and agent interactions
  • Develop and optimize trajectory algorithms integrating path and velocity planning into cohesive solutions
  • Build and enhance geometry systems for generating feasible, compliant paths
  • Create velocity systems for context-aware, comfortable, and safe speed profiles
  • Model driving scenarios and agent interactions to support behavioral planning
  • Analyze system performance, conduct testing, and investigate root causes across various scenarios
