Divergent seeks an EHS Engineer II to support environmental health and safety programs across advanced manufacturing operations in Torrance, California. You'll ensure regulatory compliance, conduct inspections and incident investigations, and drive safety culture improvements across a fast-paced production environment serving automotive, aerospace, and defense industries.

What you'll do

  • Support implementation of OSHA, EPA, DTSC, and AQMD compliance programs including hazardous waste, wastewater, and air permitting
  • Conduct EHS inspections, audits, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses to identify and mitigate workplace hazards
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, performing root cause analysis and supporting corrective/preventive actions
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs covering HAZCOM, PPE, LOTO, and emergency response
  • Maintain EHS documentation, regulatory records, permits, and compliance tracking systems
  • Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams on safety improvements, ergonomics, and MOC processes
