About this role

DoorDash Labs seeks a Hardware Integration Engineer to build and maintain autonomous delivery robots from conception through operational deployment. You'll serve as the technical lead across hardware, software, and operations teams, handling system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation for next-generation robotic vehicles.

What you'll do

  • Develop deep expertise on autonomous robotic vehicles and serve as subject matter expert across the organization
  • Design, prototype, and install proof-of-concept systems, sensors, and vehicle integrations
  • Guide vehicles through their complete lifecycle from initial build-out to delivery and testing
  • Build and validate test benches for mechanical, electrical, embedded, and software systems
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting to minimize vehicle downtime
  • Create technical documentation, assembly procedures, and manage component provisioning for expanding fleets
