About this role
Join DRW's advanced technology team as a Platform Engineer Intern for a 10-week program focused on maintaining and improving system reliability and scalability. You'll work on the full lifecycle of services under senior mentorship while developing your technical skills and exploring Chicago's tech scene.
What you'll do
- Manage the complete service lifecycle from design and deployment through operation and refinement
- Write software to enhance availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of production services
- Monitor service capacity, performance, and implement disaster recovery solutions
- Identify and advocate for innovative solutions to complex infrastructure problems
- Build automation to solve mission-critical issues and prevent recurring problems
- Collaborate with senior technologists on system improvements
