Platform Engineer - Kubernetes

About this role

Elastic is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Kubernetes-based application hosting infrastructure on GCP. You'll work on a focused team building scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure while implementing CI/CD pipelines and ensuring cloud cost optimization.

What you'll do

• Design and implement scalable Kubernetes infrastructure solutions on GCP with infrastructure-as-code practices
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle
• Monitor system performance, optimize resources, and troubleshoot infrastructure issues
• Ensure security compliance, collaborate with Infosec on incident response and CVE remediation
• Support internal platform users and facilitate knowledge sharing on platform features
• Analyze cloud spending patterns and implement cost optimization strategies
