Epic Games seeks an experienced Engine Programmer to optimize Fortnite's performance and stability on PC across diverse hardware configurations. You'll debug complex systems, improve platform toolchains, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance the desktop player experience.

What you'll do

  • Diagnose and resolve CPU/GPU performance and compatibility issues on varied PC hardware
  • Improve platform toolchains including compiler support, SDK upgrades, and debugger integration
  • Monitor live service data and address player-facing stability issues in production
  • Build and maintain Fortnite support across PC storefronts, operating systems, and architectures
  • Optimize low-level systems like memory allocators, file systems, and input handling
  • Collaborate with Fortnite and Unreal Engine teams on complex technical challenges
