About this role
Etched seeks an Emulation Engineer to lead SoC bring-up and pre-silicon validation for custom AI inference hardware. You'll develop automated test flows, debug complex processor issues, and collaborate with design and software teams to optimize emulation platforms.
What you'll do
- Oversee SoC bring-up on emulation platforms and diagnose failing processor tests
- Build automated build and regression flows for pre-silicon validation
- Develop DPI transactors and in-circuit emulation for high-speed protocols
- Create chip-to-chip network models and hybrid emulation environments
- Build CI pipelines and git workflows for reproducibility and regression tracking
- Partner with emulation vendors and cross-functional teams to enhance platform capabilities
What they're looking for
- Emulation platform experience (Palladium, Protium, Veloce, ZeBu, HAPS)
- C/C++ and Linux system development
- SystemVerilog and Verilog with DPI interfaces
- Python scripting and automation
- Git-based development workflows
- UVM verification environments
- Waveform debug tools (Verdi, SimVision)
- CI/CD tooling and job schedulers (SLURM)
