AI Engineer

About this role

Farsight seeks an AI Engineer to design and deploy agentic systems that automate financial workflows for investment banks and private equity firms. You'll own end-to-end systems for generating client-ready deliverables, build evaluation and quality infrastructure, and advance retrieval and orchestration capabilities on the platform.

What you'll do

• Design and own agentic systems that produce financial deliverables (decks, models, memos) from data ingestion through polished output
• Build evaluation and quality systems including deterministic checks, model-based review, grounding verification, and regression testing for non-deterministic outputs
• Transform proprietary data into evidence-backed insights by building discovery pipelines that identify, quantify, and verify patterns
• Develop and refine retrieval systems grounding deliverables in unstructured and structured financial data with source traceability
• Drive next-generation agentic capabilities including composability, advanced function calling, and modular orchestration
• Shape product priorities by ideating on customer value and evaluating trade-offs between time-to-market, execution risk, and impact

• Machine learning and LLM systems deployment in production
• Agentic systems design (function calling, tool use, orchestration, reliability engineering)
• LLM evaluation and validation methodology
• Retrieval systems over unstructured and structured data
• Document processing and analysis (mixed text, numeric, tabular content)
• Python proficiency
• Frontier model APIs and capabilities
• Financial data and workflows familiarity
