About this role
MISUMI Americas seeks an Applied Content Engineer to design and build demonstration systems, training kits, and working prototypes that showcase real-world applications of manufacturing components. This role combines mechanical engineering with content creation, translating product capabilities into physical systems and educational materials for customers and universities.
What you'll do
- Design and develop demonstration systems for automation, fixtures, and motion applications using CAD
- Create detailed assemblies, Bills of Materials, and technical documentation for physical systems
- Build, test, and iterate on physical training kits and modular platforms
- Collaborate with instructional designers and marketing to develop learning experiences and application content
- Identify product gaps and usability challenges, providing feedback to product management
- Maintain quality management system contributions and support business travel for university and trade show engagements
