About this role
MISUMI Americas is hiring a Strategic Solutions Engineer in Boston to guide high-complexity manufacturing customers through the prototype-to-production journey. You'll leverage deep expertise in CNC machining, sheet metal, and casting to deliver DFM/DFA guidance, cost optimization, and technical advisory on complex programs.
What you'll do
- Serve as technical advisor for strategic customers on complex CNC and sheet metal manufacturing needs
- Lead technical scoping and translate customer requirements into manufacturable, scalable solutions
- Perform detailed DFM/DFA reviews for CNC-machined and sheet metal components, including tolerance and GD&T analysis
- Support prototype-to-production transitions and identify manufacturing risks early
- Provide cost optimization recommendations based on process selection and volume scaling
- Guide mechanical assembly design, including fit, stack-ups, fastener selection, and assembly sequencing
