About this role
MISUMI Americas seeks a University Applications Engineer to serve as the technical liaison between the company and North American universities, driving adoption of MISUMI components and digital tools through direct engagement with students, faculty, and academic programs. The role combines technical expertise with relationship management, requiring hands-on support for student design projects, workshops, and curriculum integration.
What you'll do
- Manage relationships with a portfolio of universities and serve as primary MISUMI contact for each institution
- Develop and execute engagement plans including workshops, curriculum integration, and project support for academic teams
- Provide technical guidance on component selection, system design, and MISUMI digital tools to students and faculty
- Identify expansion opportunities and drive sustained engagement within each university
- Track and report on university adoption metrics, engagement outcomes, and relationship development progress
- Build multi-level relationships across departments to ensure program continuity and long-term partnerships
