About this role
Figure, an AI robotics company building general-purpose humanoid robots, is seeking an XR Engineer to develop spatial interfaces and systems that teach robots to understand their environment. You'll work across XR app development, hardware integration, and data-capture solutions in a fast-paced startup environment with 5 days/week in-office collaboration in San Jose.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain XR products that interface with robots and data-capture hardware, including features, bug fixes, and scaling reliability
- Design intuitive spatial user interfaces and visualizations for robot control and interaction
- Harden XR data synchronization processes to ensure robustness at scale
- Integrate custom hardware stacks with commercial XR headsets
- Shift flexibly between hardware experiments, debugging, and new feature development based on priorities
