About this role
Build document-parsing features for Firecrawl's core API, transforming PDFs, Word docs, spreadsheets, and scanned files into clean, LLM-ready data. Own features end-to-end from concept through production, obsessing over developer experience and shipping real product that thousands of developers use daily.
What you'll do
- Build and ship document-parsing features from idea to production
- Ensure reliability and quality of parsed output across multiple file formats including messy and scanned documents
- Solve complex problems like layout detection, table structure recognition, reading order, and OCR routing
- Collaborate with engineering team on roadmap decisions and technical tradeoffs
- Engage with GitHub issues and developer feedback to drive product priorities
- Dogfood the product and iterate based on real-world usage patterns
