About this role
Fluidstack seeks a CNC/Structural Steel Processing Engineer to own and optimize their beam line and plate processing operations for high-volume data center construction. You'll program equipment, commission machinery, manage tooling and maintenance, and ensure continuous uptime as they scale compute infrastructure for AI.
What you'll do
- Operate and optimize CNC beam lines, plate processing equipment, saws, and drills at production takt
- Program machines for nesting, tooling, and cycle time efficiency to prevent downstream bottlenecks
- Commission new steel processing equipment and validate performance to specification
- Develop and execute tooling strategy and preventive maintenance plans to sustain uptime during ramp
- Collaborate directly with floor operators to troubleshoot and improve processes
- Drive equipment performance using data-driven uptime tracking and optimization
