About this role
Fluidstack is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to deploy and commission cooling systems across utility-scale AI data center sites. You'll oversee equipment startup, thermal validation, and operational handover while driving process improvements across multiple deployments.
What you'll do
- Deploy and commission cooling and mechanical systems at data center sites through functional testing and live handover
- Support operational reliability of deployed cooling infrastructure and respond to thermal events on live sites
- Resolve field conflicts between installation conditions and mechanical system requirements during commissioning
- Monitor and validate thermal performance of cooling systems under live AI compute load
- Develop and improve mechanical commissioning checklists, startup procedures, and maintenance documentation
- Work alongside contractors and commissioning agents to maintain quality standards on active construction sites
