About this role

Formlabs is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop complete electronic systems for their 3D printing platforms used by industry leaders worldwide. This full-stack role spans circuit design, PCB layout, firmware development, and subsystem integration, with emphasis on shipping products and owning projects end-to-end.

What you'll do

  • Design and build prototype and production electronic systems including circuit design, PCB layout, and embedded firmware
  • Own complete projects from concept through validation, not isolated technical specialties
  • Design subsystems integrating sensors, actuators, and optoelectronics with mechanical considerations
  • Validate designs through simulations and experiments, backing decisions with data
  • Support products throughout lifecycle from research through field debugging
  • Collaborate on electromechanical integration challenges requiring electronics and mechanical tradeoff analysis
