About this role
Join Formlabs as a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop precision 3D printing systems used by industry leaders worldwide. You'll prototype mechanisms, create CAD designs, validate electro-mechanical systems, and shepherd products from concept through mass manufacturing while collaborating with global teams.
What you'll do
- Prototype new mechanisms and research 3D printing technical challenges
- Analyze, test, validate, and iterate on electro-mechanical systems
- Create detailed CAD designs and well-specified technical drawings
- Collaborate with global sourcing and manufacturing teams on production scaling
- Contribute to advancing 3D printing capabilities and customer value
- Build and test designs in an equipped machine shop

- Mechanical prototyping and hands-on building
