About this role
Formlabs seeks a Robotic Systems Integration Engineer to bring together firmware and hardware subsystems for 3D printing technology, guiding products from R&D through shipping. You'll collaborate with design teams to solve cross-disciplinary challenges, manage system requirements, and validate performance through rigorous testing.
What you'll do
- Integrate firmware and hardware subsystems into cohesive systems and advance prototypes through development cycles
- Define and refine interfaces between subsystems, control algorithms, and electro-mechanical designs
- Create and document system architecture diagrams with system architects detailing inputs, outputs, and interactions
- Own management of subsystem and system-level requirements, including change tracking
- Design, execute, and analyze test plans to validate subsystem and system requirements
- Troubleshoot system issues and recommend corrective actions to improve performance
