About this role

Freedom Technology Solutions Groups seeks a Cybersecurity Implementation Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise cybersecurity infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments in Springfield, VA. The role requires deep expertise in detection/response systems, firewalls, and cloud platforms, with 6+ years of DoD-focused network security experience and multiple required certifications.

What you'll do

• Build, deploy, configure, and maintain cybersecurity infrastructure on Windows/Linux in cloud and on-premises environments
• Engineer and implement solutions using AWS services (EC2, EBS, ELB, S3) with AMI provisioning and troubleshooting
• Research and implement enterprise-wide cybersecurity solutions aligned with customer mission goals
• Evaluate technology upgrades and recommend changes based on performance, standardization, and industry best practices
• Develop architecture documentation and capability roadmaps for operations and security enhancements
• Coordinate with stakeholders and external assessors to facilitate security assessments and authorization processes

• F5 platforms and email/web security gateways
• Enterprise network architecture and security principles
• Technical writing and executive-level communication
• DoD cybersecurity and compliance knowledge
