About this role

Freedom Technology Solutions Group seeks a Network Engineer to design, maintain, and optimize WAN/LAN/CAN infrastructure for an Intelligence Community customer across multiple security domains. The role combines hands-on network operations, system troubleshooting, and enterprise architecture planning, with significant travel required.

What you'll do

• Coordinate maintenance, monitoring, and installation of WAN/LAN environments across multiple platforms and technologies
• Troubleshoot and resolve network media, components, and performance issues
• Develop and execute test plans for network configuration upgrades and changes
• Evaluate emerging network technologies and recommend improvements for performance and standardization
• Conduct site surveys for new installations and technology refreshes
• Maintain network architecture diagrams and capability roadmaps

• Juniper equipment (MX, EX, SRX series routers, switches, firewalls)
• Network protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, IPSec, GRE, VPN)
• DoD Architecture Framework and government network standards
• Network analysis tools (Juniper Secure Analytics, Infoblox, Riverbed, HP Network Automation)
• Cryptographic devices (KG-175G/X, KG-245A/X)
• IP services (IPv4, IPv6, QoS, SDN, SNMP, VOIP, VTC)
• Government network connectivity (NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS)
• Satellite communications equipment installation and troubleshooting
