About this role
General Matter seeks a Dynamics Engineer to lead vibration, loads, and dynamics analysis for uranium enrichment hardware. You'll own design requirements, conduct testing and modeling, and collaborate across mechanical, electrical, software, and nuclear engineering teams to optimize performance and manufacturability.
What you'll do
- Define and own dynamics analysis through hand calculations, modeling, and data analysis
- Execute full-cycle dynamics testing including pre-test planning, sensor installation, data processing, and model correlation
- Perform root-cause analysis on test failures and develop hardware mitigations
- Support design optimization for cost, performance, and manufacturability
- Participate in design reviews and provide cross-functional feedback
- Collaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing, and nuclear engineers on system integration
