About this role
Gotion Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and support mechanical infrastructure and utility systems for a large-scale lithium battery manufacturing facility under construction in Illinois. You'll collaborate across engineering disciplines during construction, commissioning, and startup while managing capital projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What you'll do
- Design and implement mechanical systems for new construction, facility expansions, and capital improvement projects
- Develop mechanical drawings, utility layouts, piping diagrams, and construction documents for review
- Support construction teams during installation, commissioning, startup, and project closeout phases
- Coordinate with electrical, civil, controls, facilities, and construction teams on project execution
- Perform engineering calculations for equipment sizing, utility demand, and piping system design
- Review contractor submittals, RFIs, engineering changes, and ensure compliance with codes and standards
