Production Quality Engineer
About this role
Gotion Inc. seeks a Production Quality Engineer for their Manteno, IL lithium battery manufacturing facility. You'll oversee quality control processes, analyze production data, manage non-conforming products, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with customer and company standards.
What you'll do
- Collect and analyze production quality data including defect rates, return rates, and process capability indices (CPK, PPK, CMK)
- Conduct root cause analysis on quality issues and verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive measures
- Manage non-conforming product areas and establish rework/repair ledgers with operation instructions
- Confirm control plan implementation on production lines including inspection items, frequency, and standards
- Train operators on quality processes and conduct hierarchical audits based on control plans
- Develop standard inspection guidelines and maintain comprehensive quality documentation and records
