About this role

GuidePoint Security is hiring a Microsoft Security Engineer to deliver hands-on security engagements focused on Microsoft Entra ID, Purview, Intune, and Defender XDR across diverse client environments. You'll work independently on billable projects (80% target) while collaborating with architects and consultants, based fully remote with minimal travel.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement Microsoft Entra ID architecture, hybrid sync, Conditional Access, MFA, and identity governance (PIM, RBAC, access reviews)
  • Configure and troubleshoot application integrations via SSO (SAML/OIDC), enterprise app registrations, and SCIM provisioning
  • Implement Microsoft Purview security controls: sensitivity labels, DLP policies, retention, eDiscovery, and data classification across M365
  • Deploy Intune device compliance, configuration profiles, and app deployments; support Defender XDR solutions in hybrid environments
  • Investigate and remediate identity risks using Entra ID Protection logs and drive hybrid identity hygiene initiatives
  • Manage independent technical delivery on client engagements with clear communication and self-directed time management
