Microsoft Security Engineer- Remote (Anywhere in the U.S.)
About this role
GuidePoint Security seeks a Microsoft-focused security engineer to deliver hands-on engagements centered on Microsoft Entra ID, Purview, Intune, and Defender XDR for clients ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 enterprises. You'll work independently on billable security projects while collaborating with architects and consultants across varied industries in a fully remote role.
What you'll do
- Design and implement Microsoft Entra ID architecture, hybrid sync, Conditional Access, MFA, and identity governance (PIM, RBAC, access reviews)
- Investigate and remediate identity risks using Entra ID Protection and audit logs; manage hybrid identity hygiene
- Design and deploy Microsoft Purview solutions including sensitivity labels, DLP, retention policies, and data classification
- Configure Intune device compliance, configuration profiles, app deployments, and support Defender XDR across cloud and hybrid environments
- Integrate applications via SSO (SAML/OIDC), enterprise app registrations, and SCIM provisioning
- Support eDiscovery, Insider Risk Management, communication compliance, and AI data security readiness
